Become an eObituary ambassador

Ambassadors are people with an audience — presenters, pastors, podcast hosts, community voices — who tell the families who follow them about eObituary. Families who use your personal code pay R100 less, and you earn a reward on every eObituary bought with it. The more paid code sales in a month, the higher that month’s reward.

How it works

  1. Apply below. OurNews (or a regional manager) gets in touch.
  2. You sign a 12-month ambassador agreement, give a valid SARS tax clearance, and receive your personal code.
  3. You promote eObituary to your audience, with content OurNews approves before your first post.
  4. A family enters your code when buying online and pays R100 less.
  5. Once the 14-day refund window closes, the sale counts toward your monthly reward. You are paid by EFT by the 7th of the next month.

Agents, regional managers, Network Leads, and owners or staff of registered parlours can’t be ambassadors.

Ambassador conduct rules
  • I promote eObituary to my audience in general, and never approach a specific bereaved family.
  • I mark every paid post clearly as a paid partnership (for example "#ad"), as South Africa’s advertising code requires.
  • I use only OurNews-approved claims about the product and its price, and OurNews approves my content before my first post.
  • I never recruit other ambassadors or earn from anyone else’s code.
  • OurNews may end my agreement if I am involved in conduct that harms the OurNews name.
